Groundwater Feedback

The “Cultivating Good Water Tangará” project, carried out by the Pantanal Amazon Conservation Institute (IPAC). Accelerates and guarantees the process of groundwater replenishment by installing a rainwater drainage mechanism in rural and urban areas with the following actions: Dimensioning the number of mechanisms to intensify groundwater recharge; Installation of mechanisms to intensify groundwater recharge.

To install the Groundwater Recharge Intensifier (IRLF), a portable drill is used, equipped with a drill, for manual use and is powered by gasoline (for greater power). Vertically for each IRLF, 2.20 m of soil was drilled. After drilling the soil, we proceeded with the installation of the Groundwater Recharge Intensifier (IRLF). The Groundwater Recharge Intensifier (IRLF) consists of a perforated PVC pipe and a geotextile blanket. Crushed stones are placed in the space between the PVC pipe and the geotextile blanket.
